Abstract

Introduction.The concept of language game in Hungarian is focused on in the paper.
Such language games as palindrome, intarsia and compilation are under the given investigation.
The main interest is turned to the classification of language games in the Hungarian language
as one of the most logical languages in the world. The paper highlights the way of combination
the logics, language game and humor in Hungarian on the samples of everyday communicative
situations. The novelty of the research is in the study of the language games grounded on
the Hungarian humor whose mechanism has not been the object of deep analysis in Ukrainian
linguistics yet. The paper reveals peculiar features of the Hungarian logics and language game
in making humoristic effect.Special emphasis is paid to the logical structure of Hungarian
words. Devoted to the Day of the Hungarian language the paper aims at defining the usage and
the impact of language game that is important for studying and teaching Hungarian language
structure. The practical value of the paper is in the suggested methods of interpreting the functions
of language game and logical meaning of the lexemes framing the language game in Hungarian
communicative situations. The results of the given research can be used in teaching lexicology,
interpretation of the text and other theoretical courses.
The paper concludes that just the humor expressed by means of language games
in Hungarian is of great pedagogical value, particularly in foreign language teaching and learning.
Game is the effective way for developing students’ creativity and motivation in studying foreign
language. By means of language game students learn vocabulary and improve their lexical
knowledge better
