The present article deals with the peculiarities ν εvφελκυστικόν in Greek epic poems in 5th century, the Dionysiaca and the Metabole or Paraphrase of the Gospel of John, writing by Nonnus of Panopolis, who was an important writer for greek Thebaid. Particular attention is paid to highlight using ν εvφελκυστικόν, to describe the features of language of Nonnus of Panopolis and interpret the phenomenon of ν εvφελκυστικόν in Greek epic poems. The study has confirmed that the author use more ancient forms of ν εvφελκυστικόν as in the Attic Greek and Ionic dialect.Downloads
