Abstract

The article deals with the communicative strategies and tactics in the speech of the characters of detectives in the detective novel “La fйe carabine” of Daniel Pennac. There have been analyzed the fragments of the illustrative material containing the dialogues of the characters in order to reveal the communicative tactics and strategies of communication, the componential analysis of lexical units was involved. The results of the analysis of the percentage of the communicative strategies in the speech of each detective have been visualized in the diagrams. The communicative behavior of the character has been defined as the means of characteristic of the character, the indicator of the author’s subjective modality, author’s attitude to the character.
