Abstract

The article is devoted to determination of the effective methods in researching phraseological deformation being a figure of speech. Special attention is paid to motivation for the use of the contextual method and the componential method in the analysis of the occasional usage of phraseological units. The principles and the procedures of these methods are discussed. The examples of practical application of the methods are given.
