ЛІНГВОПОЕТИКА АНГЛОМОВНОГО ХУДОЖНЬОГО ПСИХОНАРАТИВУ (на матеріалі романів Дж. М. Кутзее)
Keywords:
psychonarration, psychologically charged context, textual tension, landscape modelAbstract
This article focuses on revealing linguistic features of psychonarration in J. M. Coetzee’s novels through the prism of verbal, compositional and narrative means of its manifestation. Special emphasis is laid on elaborating the criteria (thematic, lexical and semantic, compositional and narrative, as well as plot-developing) of singling out psychologically charged contexts as units of psychonarration. Formation and identification of psychologically charged contexts in J. M. Coetzee’s literary works are proved to be grounded in textual tension. The research suggests a landscape model for psychonarration analysis which incorporates three narrative domains related to characters – the landscape of personages' actions, of their consciousness unfolding, and of their feelings and emotions.
