The article is dedicated to study of creation and functioning of phraseological neologisms, which are most active in the mass media discourse – the sphere, which responds to the most efficient new phenomena and trends in the creative use of language units. The internally linguistic and extra-linguistic factors that contribute to the emergence of phraseological neologisms are found, their role in the Ukrainian mass media discourse is analyzed. The main ways of creating of phraseological neologisms are defined.Downloads
