Structural and Morphological Types of Compound Nouns in Sports Subject Areas

The structural and morphological types of sports-related compound nouns extracted by the method of continuous sampling from the newspaper and magazine texts of contemporary German journalism are discussed in the article. Compound formations are classified according to their components part-of-speech tagging. Particular attention is paid to polysyllabic noun composites, compound nouns of syntactic type and combinations. The structural and thematic groups of the mentioned compound formations are indicated. The productivity of different types of composites is defined.Downloads
