Abstract

In the article the verges of synchronic and diachronic aspects have been defined in terms of the linguistic reconstruction of Proto-language forms (states). The definitions of “lexical nest” / “word-formative nest”, “genetic nest” and “etymological nest” have been described in the etymological lexicography. The basic features of lexical nest / formative nest have been defined. The classification of genetic nests has been offered based on chronological depth study of a particular Proto-form. The etymological nest with the top *māter- has been modelled.
