AbstractThe article deals with the cognitive and onomasiological reconstruction of motive prototype “dedication” in Greek and Latin epigrams which helped to determine the intertextual core components of this motif, due to its ritual origin, and their future evolution has been found out in terms of subgenre of votive epigrams.
